Oh No, My toes are showing!

Toe Nail Fungus is a common problem for a lot of people.  According to a staff member at the Mayo Clinic... "An infection of nail fungus occurs when fungi infect one or more of your nails. A nail fungal infection may begin as a white or yellow spot under the tip of your fingernail or toenail. As the nail fungus spreads deeper into your nail, it may cause your nail to discolor, thicken and develop crumbling edges — an unsightly and potentially painful problem."

Nail fungus can be difficult to treat enough with all the different types of medication on the market.  Even after you manage to rid yourself of the fungus, there is a chance the infection will recur.  If you are one of those people suffering with toe nail fungus here is a simple remedy that you may find interesting.  Just swab the affected toe nails with Lavender and Tea Tree essential oils.  Simple isn't it? The best part about it is that it actually works!

Lavender’s essential oil works wonderfully on toe nail fungus when it is used with Tea tree’s essential oil. Tea tree oil contains powerful anti-fungal properties and it is a potent antiseptic.  Add this to lavenders healing properties and we have a wonderful combinations for combating Toe nail fungus.

How to Use:
To use the oils apply one drop of Tea tree essential oil with 1 drop of  Lavender essential oil to the Q-tip or cotton ball.  Swab the combination of oils under top edge and around affected toenail twice or even three times a day.  This method has been very effective in ridding the dreaded "Toe nail Fungus."  Let me know if it works for you!

Today in 1920: US Postal Service rules children may not be sent via parcel post

Today in 1920: US Postal Service rules children may not be sent via parcel post:

After parcel post service was introduced in 1913, at least two children were sent by the service. With stamps attached to their clothing, the children rode with railway and city carriers to their destination. The Postmaster General quickly issued a regulation forbidding the sending of children in the mail after hearing of those examples.

The Image is from the Smithsonian's Flickr stream of historic, public domain photos, a shot commemorating the end of being able to ship your children by postal mail.

The Dance between Biology, Physics and Spirit

The Dance between Biology, Physics and Spirit
By Lillian DelValle K., M.Sc.

Chapter 1

In various religions and spiritual beliefs, the relationship between Body, Mind, and Spirit makes prefect sense.  However, the link between biology, physics and spirit seemed impossible.  Biology, physics and spirit seem to dance around each like a wonderful fantasy, a fairytale with its ‘happy ever after’ ending, though far from reality.
This thesis paper will explore resent studies and experiments conducted by researchers, scientist, and medical professional who are slowly discovering links between the three realms of existence, the body, mind and spirit.  By entertaining the idea or illusion that coincidences and so call phenomenons may be more then just a dance of imaginary coincidence.  In fact, it may be a necessary trinity of coexistence.  Through an intelligent force of creation we are all coexisting on multiple levels of realities; realities which consist of multiple possibilities in which we choose the outcome.   In other words, the body mind and spirit connection is an intelligent design for co-creating our existence and the world around us.  Thanks to new discoveries in various fields of science, including quantum physics, ‘Spirit’ is now being recognized as an important part of our existence, the vibrational force which propels our thoughts into form.
Throughout history spiritual healers have existed.  From the very beginning human beings have known that we possess the power to ‘Self’ heal.  It is our instinctive nature to use our hands to comfort those who are thought to be out of balance or ill, whether emotional or physically.  We have also believed in the power of positive thinking and miracles.  Since, ancient times the human body was believed to encompass three bodies. The three bodies comprised of the physical, mental and spirit aspects of life.   Together, the three bodies form the essence of humanity.  It was understood that this trinity brought wholeness to the very being of whom we are, our connection to the creator as well as the earth and each other.  Although, the connection was solely understood from a spiritual or religious standpoint, we are now beginning to understand this relationship from a vibration, energetic point of view through the study of quantum biology and quantum physics.
Today our understanding of energy has evolved.  We now know we live in a network of vibrations and we ourselves are made of subtle energy.  When we look at the physical body, each organ is made of cells; each cell is made of molecules, which are made up of atoms, which in turn are made up of protons, neutron, electrons and other electromagnetic particles spinning in orbit.  When we are healthy, we are in a harmonist vibration and the whole organism functions properly.
However, as humans we have ‘free will.’  We can choose our thoughts, words and action, which mean we choose how we will use our energy, whether in a positive or negative manner.  By doing so, we are creating the energetic environment that we live in.  This energetic wave of creation not only affects us but also affects the environment in which we live in as well as the state of humanity.

The best part about it is that it is non invasive and there aren't any negative side effects. Healing Touch and other energy healing techniques are now being practice in various hospitals.

BESTeam Feature: From Hawaii - Redemption Art

This is one unusual little Hawaiian Vintage shop. You will find things from all over the globe that have somehow made their way to my little Hawaiian islands. Connie's the owner of RedemptionArt grew up in Hawaii. Her shop features Vintage treasures that she finds, along with some of her personal Hand Made creations and Upcycled Art from Hawaii. Connie is a very creative lady as you'll be able to tell by browsing her shop.

Just take a look at these True Vintage Clip-on Earrings, Adorable! These clip style costume jewelry earrings can be dressed up or down, great with that little black dress as well as those favorite pair of jeans! Measuring 3" long and about 3/4" at their widest point, they are actually very light and easy to wear.

Episcopal Mitre approximately 3" and is in excellent condition.
For those shell collectors, here is a Episcopal Mitre.  This shell is associated with spiritual or religious values.  This shell received its name from its resemblance to the miter headgear worn by clergy.  According to Michelle Hanson, Author of  "Ocean Oracle", attraction to the Episcopal Mitre encourages a more conscious evaluation of one's religious or spiritual values.

What an interesting piece! Beautiful single to double serving cast iron, porcelain lined tea pot. Very ZEN.. bamboo and possible cherry blossom and pine raised designs. Hot water is poured over your favorite tea that sits in a metal mesh insert.

The body of the pot measures 5" at its widest point and 6" if you include the spout. It measures 6 1/2" tall, including the handle which is stationary. Nice and heavy cast iron weighing approximately 2 pounds. Really beautiful and in excellent vintage shape.

Currently, Connie is in the process of transferring her handmade treasures to my second etsy shop called "VolcanoGirlCreations" and would love to see you there too! For an exotic shopping experience you must visit RedemptionArt!
